The Multimedia Lab is located on the first floor of the Janet D. Greenwood Library in Rooms 147 and 148 adjacent to the Learning Commons. The Multimedia Lab offers computer hardware and software for the development of digital audio, video, and graphic content. The equipment and software are available to all students, faculty, and staff of Longwood University.
Multimedia Lab
The Multimedia Lab has 17 iMacs with full production software. This software includes: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Final Cut X, iLife, and Toast. The Multimedia Lab has SD card readers, flatbed scanners, document scanner, light table and negative readers. Space for video production is available, including a green screen.
The Multimedia Lab is open regular Library hours. It is staffed selected hours each semester. If Multimedia Lab staff are not available, please go to the Learning Commons Desk or the Circulation/Reserve Desk for assistance with borrowing or returning equipment. Assistance in use of equipment and software in the Multimedia Lab is limited when Multimedia Staff are not available.
